National Silver Surfers Day 28th May

Fulston Manor School celebrated National Silver Surfers Day with members of the community on Friday. Silver Surfers are local residents, aged over 55, who require help with finding their way around computers. Fulston runs sessions throughout the year and Year 9 and 10 students have thoroughly enjoyed spending time explaining how to use this technology and meeting everyone. Mrs Sarah Palmer, Community Cohesion Manager, said “we have some real characters in our Silver Surfers group and it is wonderful to see how the different age groups interact with each other”. All the participants agreed that the students were patient and very helpful, Mrs Margaret Billing commented “Well done Fulston Manor students for all your help in showing us how to gain confidence in the computer”
