Bluey Robinson Visits Fulston!
What better way to end the first day back than with a performance by a new, up and coming singer/songwriter from London? Students in Year 9 were in for a treat when Bluey Robinson dropped in to do a set. Bluey was signed by Sony two years ago and has worked with artists such as Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32, currently his song Showgirl is used in the Talk Talk adverts on the X-Factor. Performing five songs with an acoustic guitarist, some of which were covers and the others he had written.
Speaking about his time touring across the UK, and in Europe as the opening act for Justin Beiber, he said “I never thought I would be doing this at my age!”. After the set, Bluey happily posed for photographs with the students and answered many question, his favourite being, “what’s in your cup?”, the students were amazed to learn it was just tea! Surely pop stars don’t drink tea! When asked why he visited schools, Bluey said “it’s nice to connect with the people, they are my potential fans at the end of the day.” www.blueyrobinson.com
