At KS3 Design and Technology is split into 2 main areas.  Students are taught Product Design which includes many areas of Design and Technology, such as electronics, resistant materials and graphic products in multi-media projects.  Students also undertake Food Technology for half the year, where they learn about various aspects of food such as food safety, healthy eating and meal planning.  Whilst in Food, students have an opportunity to develop their basic preparation skills through a variety of recipes.

Key Stage 4 Curriculum:

At KS4 Design and Technology splits into 3 specialist areas where students can chose to study a GCSE in Graphic Products, Product Design or Food Technology.
Students also have an opportunity to chose to study a GCSE in Catering.
