Not content with Biathlons and Triathlons Owen has just competed in the Kingfisher Aquathlon which took place at the Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Sudbury, Suffolk on 23^rd April. Owen, a Hales House student, joined his other team mates from Medway Tri Club to race against approximately 50 other athletes. The competitors swam 400m followed by a rapid clothing change and a 5K run and Owen was delighted to take 10^th place overall. Fitness plays a massive part in competing in a race such as this and Owen trains for at least 8 hours spread over Monday to Saturdays. ‘Sundays is kept free for homework! ,’ said Owen ‘I had a fantastic time in Sudbury. It was hard work but enjoyable. The best part though was receiving the medal for competing and getting the biggest piece of rainbow cake at the end!’.
