Have you ever wondered why we chose our house names and our school name 'Fulston'? then wonder no more! Although not an easy read the attached link will take you to an ebook entitled The History Of The County Of Kent published in 1830. The first few pages appear blank but once you get to the text the information is just fascinating. Giving the history of all of the surrounding villages and the people who lived there, it sums up the history of our area beautifully. Did you know that Sheppey was once called The Island of Sheep? No? Neither did I until I read this book. The name Fulston was once known as Foggleton and the Houses of Cromer, Hales, Morrison and Stanhope were all families who were associated with Swale.

Please do try and read this. I admit to skimming sections but knowing what you are looking for makes it a whole lot easier to find.
