Hosting a Scholastic book fair in the school Library really creates a buzz about books; the Library was full of students viewing the fair on Friday 24^th November deciding whether to buy books for themselves or for Christmas presents.  The week before the fair, the students were able to design a bookmark relating to a book or series and five children each won a £5.00 voucher to spend at the fair, a great way to get the school talking about books. As an added bonus, if enough books are sold during the following week, the school will also receive vouchers to spend on books.  Fulston’s Librarian, Mrs Silver, said “The students enjoyed being able to buy good quality books and stationery, often at a discounted price, and in a way that is more exciting than browsing on Amazon!”
