PSHE Covers Hard Hitting Drug Abuse Consequences

Year 11 students gave a warm welcome to Support Worker Rebecca Hubbard who was invited to talk to the students regarding the dangers and consequences of drug abuse during a PHSE session.

Year 11 students gave a warm welcome to Support Worker Rebecca Hubbard who was invited to talk to the students regarding the dangers and consequences of drug abuse during a PHSE session. Rebecca, herself an ex-student at Fulston, is a Support Worker at The Quays in Sittingbourne and has seen, first hand, the devastation that misuse of drugs can bring to people. Rebecca spoke to the students and explained her role at The Quays which offers temporary accommodation to homeless people, many of whom have had issues with drug abuse and gave examples of how quickly addictions can spiral out of control. The Year 11s found the talk interesting and informative and questions were fired at Rebecca who answered honestly and openly.
