What will my child learn in year 12?

Term 1

Term 2

  • Securing understanding of photographic technology, both conventional and digital.
  • Explore work of key practitioners.
  • Identify and produce work based on a variety of genres.

Term 3

  • Creatively control a range of photography processes.
  • Explore Photoshop to manipulate and enhance images.
  • Develop first stage of work for final assessment.

Term 4

  • Develop into the Personal Investigation.
  • Students will resolve outcomes related to their research.
  • Begin project based on the ‘moving image’ (video work).

Term 5

  • Clarify a clear focus for investigation.
  • Plan a structure for 1000-3000 word written essay.
  • Develop a personal plan for practical work

Term 6

  • Create video work linked to the personal investigation.
  • Produce first draft of essay.
  • Develop a plan for shoot / gallery visits over the Summer holidays
