Year 7 Literacy And Numeracy Catch Up Funding
On the 22nd June 2020, the Year 7 catch-up premium was discontinued. The Department for Education has said that pupils will instead be provided for under the low prior attainment factor as part of the national funding formula.
Historically, the Education Funding Agency (EFA) provided additional funding to schools in the form of a Literacy and Numeracy Catch up funding. The funding was to be allocated to students who had not achieved at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of Key Stage 2.
