Fulston said goodbye for the last time to one of its most talented Performing Arts students. Toby Turpin, has been offered a place at Emil Dale's Performing Arts Academy to train to become a professional performer and sat his last exam at school on Wednesday 24th May. Toby has been a constant source of news items for the school over the past six years due to his incredible talent in the field of Performing Arts. Having danced, acted and sung all over the country for appreciative audiences, including royalty, Toby is still left with fond memories of school performances - his last was Back To The 80's where he played two characters. Toby says he will never forget Fulston but feels that the time has come for him to move on to pastures new and is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's best talents. He said "One of the most memorable moments at school was when I received my red tie for becoming a prefect and my music tie for contributions to the Performing Arts Department". Mrs Palmer said "Toby has been a fantastic student and I have been lucky enough to also see him perform outside of school and am amazed at his stage presence. Mrs Payne and I travelled to Eltham on Friday 26th May to see Toby on stage at the performance of Broadway Babies. To say we were impressed is such an understatement - we will continue to follow his career as I'm certain that fame beckons". Mr Alan Brookes, Headteacher, commented "We are really sad to see Toby go but this is such a fantastic step towards his future career we wish him all the very best of luck". Toby has various events coming up but the Stuart Matthew Price production of Imaginary which runs 9th-12th August at the Other Palace, London will be a summer highlight. Toby's career can be followed on Facebook and Instagram.
