This was a brilliant opportunity for students to see a live orchestra perform a varied programme taking them on a musical journey around the globe. Performances included 'Mambo' from West Side Story, 'Toreador's Song' from Carmen and Pirates of the Caribbean.
In total 540 primary school students attended the concerts held in the morning with 210 Year 7 students getting the opportunity to watch the final performance of the day.
Hopefully, watching and listening to the professional musicians who formed the orchestra has inspired more students from across Swale either to learn an instrument or to explore the rich and varied extra curricular music making opportunities that are available to them both in school or in the local area.
