On Monday 3rd July, Fulston Manor hosted the ‘Sounds of Swale’ Joint Schools’ Concert; now in it's second year.

Twelve schools from across Swale and across both primary and secondary took part in the event, which provided an excellent showcase for the musical talents and abilities of the students of Swale. With over 200 students taking part, this year the programme contained six items, which all students participating performed in. With an Orchestra of over 50 student musicians from Fulston Manor, Borden Grammar School and Grove Park Primary, students from the twelve participating schools joined together in performing and exciting collaborative programme including 'I'm a Believer' from Shrek and 'Skyfall' by Adele.

The whole event was made so much easier by a donation of £500 from NADFAS which went towards music stands, publishing costs of programmes and refreshments. NADFAS representative, Mrs Yvonne Vedamuttu, had worked with Fulston Manor School on several occasions and Mr Graeme Bowden, Head of Performing Arts, said “Receiving the donation from Yvonne and NADFAS really helped to make this event the success it was and we would like to thank them for their contribution”

Everyone had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We look forward to the next event, due to take place later in the year.
