Siblings Imogen and Isaac Jenner have been triumphant in their bid to win places at Bowls England U18 Academy Weekend in May 2018.

Siblings Imogen and Isaac Jenner have been triumphant in their bid to win places at Bowls England U18 Academy Weekend in May 2018. Younger sibling Isaac, a Year 9 Morrison student, will join 7 other boys and 8 girls during the squad day next year and will hope to be one of the players selected to take part in a Test match against Wales. Isaac said “I am so excited about this opportunity. I will get to meet new people and can learn from the best. Bowls is all about attitude and never giving up and this is another step towards my career as a professional Bowls player”. Sister, Imogen, who attends Highstead Grammar School became the first Academy attendee to ‘graduate’ to full international honours when she was named in the Women’s Team for the 2018 British Isles Series. Imogen said "I was amazed to be offered the initial trial and I am shocked but equally delighted to be selected for the team". Tony Allcock MBE, Bowls England Chief Executive, said: “The Bowls England Academy is one of the first steps on the pathway to national and international honours. I am sure that Imogen’s success should prove as great motivation for the next generation of young bowlers. The standard of play during the Selection Day last Sunday was of a very high standard and I am sure that all of those who attended will have benefited from the time spent with the international team managers and selectors”.
