Staff and students joined in the fun of Children In Need and held tuck shop sales after school and staff sold delicious home baked cakes in the staff room. Stanhope Assistant Mrs Stanley organised the sales and helped run the tuck shop during the lead up to Friday 17th Novembers BBC Children In Need event. Mrs Stanley also rallied the staff to make cakes which were scoffed by colleagues and a whopping £185 was raised in total. Bake Off fan Miss Heatley, baked her own creation of Pudsey Bear which was very much appreciated by the staff. One comment made by Mrs Palmer during the devouring of the cake was “Pudsey looks too good to eat but here I am ruining his looks for the good of others and my stomach!” Mrs Stanley said “I was really happy with how much was raised but next year we want to be bigger and better so we can make more of a difference”.
