Yet another weekend of competitive martial arts competitions saw Year 10 Morrison student Josh and 6th Former Rhys take the top titles. The black belt Fulston boys successfully beat their opponents at the PUMA British Taekwondo Championships in Swindon, winning all of their matches and gaining gold in their respective categories – Rhys in the 16-17 under 55Kg and Josh in the under 170cm. Rhys, 17, is a 2nd Dan and has been studying Taekwondo for about 10 years. Josh, 14, is a 1st Dan and took up the sport when he was in Year 2. Rhys said “it was a full on day and a tough competition but I was delighted to take the gold medal. What made it even better was when I heard that Josh took gold in his category too”.
