Year 7 student William represented Swale in the Kent School’s AA Cross Country Championship held at the Duke Of York School in Dover on Saturday 20^th January. Stanhope student, William, came an impressive 10^th place out of over 100 Year 7 boys and has now qualified, and is in training, for the intercounty event towards the end of March. William has been entering running races for the last couple of years and managed to get to the National finals last year when he was at St. George’s Primary School. His other sporting passion is football but he also loves swimming. William said “ The race was tough because the weather was so awful – it was really raining and very cold. I was really happy with the result though so it was all worth it”.
