At our annual Presentation Evening, on Thursday 13th September, staff, students, parents and invited guests gathered to celebrate the outstanding success of those receiving certificates and awards. Students received certificates and special awards for particular subjects or specific achievements and for their participation in various parts of school life. One of the top trophies, The Rockall Trophy For Progress Throughout The Student’s School Life, was won by Nickoy Robinson who has developed into a caring, confident young man, willingly giving up his time to support others.
The Guest of Honour this year was Mrs Rita Couzins who has, recently, retired as Chair of Fulston Manor Academies Trust having served for over 30 years on , firstly, the Fulston Manor School Governing board as chair and then, subsequently, the Academies Trust. Mr Alan Brookes, Headteacher, said “Presentation Evening was a perfect opportunity to publically thank Mrs Cousins for all of her hard work for Fulston Manor School. Her involvement in our new buildings over the course of the last few years has been immensely appreciated and she has never wavered in her support for the school. It has been a wonderful evening of celebrations and it was excellent to have been joined by Mayor of Swale, Councillor Samuel Koffie-Williams, and the Mayoress, Mrs Doreen Koffie-Williams who, I hope, could see how proud we are of our students”.
