On Tuesday 19th March, 3 students from Queens College Cambridge visited Fulston Manor to present a student roadshow to some of our Year 11 and 12 students. Alice Wenben, a 2nd year Computer Science student, Makeda Brown, a 1st year Law student and George Molina-Stubbs, a 2nd year Maths student spoke to our Fulston students about their experiences at Cambridge. They explained what their average week was like, how they studied and the extra-curricular activities they took part in. They also explained what the application process was like for them for Cambridge. After their presentation, Fulston students were encouraged to ask additional questions and some students remained at the end to have further conversations. This process certainly helped to break down some stereotypes about Cambridge and made the whole process of university application clearer. It really encouraged many to think about their own future studies and careers.
