On Friday 21st June seven Year 7 boys travelled to Medway Park Athletics Track to represent Swale district in the Kent Schools’ Games. Fulston Manor qualified to represent the district by winning the local athletics competition at Sittingbourne Community College in May.
With the sun beating down on Medway Park, Fulston Manor arrived at the venue in good spirits and the boys were burgeoning with optimism and excitement. The students competed against students from the other 11 districts in Kent who had also won their respective local competitions, which inevitably meant that the standard of the competition was high, involving some very talented young athletes.
All seven boys performed exceptionally well as both individuals and as a collective team. A special mention to Ioannis Gayle who can 1st in the Boys 100m, Harvey Ingram who came 2nd in the Boys Long Jump, and Conna Coultrip who came 3rd in the Boys 75m Hurdles.
