On Friday 29 November the Year 13 historians were treated to a visit by historian Dr. Paul Dalton from Christ Church University.  Dr. Dalton delivered two sessions on issues around the First Crusade: why did it happen and why was it successful?  As well challenging the students with his own interpretation of these momentous events, he also presented them with the latest thinking and scholarship. The students were given a real taste of university learning through the talks, in addition to receiving invaluable help with their coursework.
