Two students donned their black belts on Saturday 8th February and took part in the PUMA International Open Championships in Swindon. 6th Form student Hannah Davies and Morrison student Marcus Duplock were very successful in their respective classes. Hannah took the bronze medal in the 14-18 non sine wave patterns category and said “We had a great weekend and I was really happy to take Bronze in the patterns, especially as I was recovering from a heavy cold”. Marcus was triumphant in his bid to take the Gold medal in the Under 160 cm category. Marcus said “I was really pleased and proud of myself”. Dad, Stephen, agreed, “Marcus was really happy. All of his dedication and hard work paid off as he managed to win all his fights taking the Gold medal. I think the smile on his face in the photograph says it all”.
