Athlete Cameron Competes In Triathlon
Stanhope student Cameron took part recently in the Hever Castle Triathlon representing Fulston Manor School and came 16th place out of an incredible 170+ athletes.
Stanhope student Cameron took part recently in the Hever Castle Triathlon representing Fulston Manor School and came 16th place out of an incredible 170+ athletes. The Year 10 boy finished the course in 51 minutes and 6 seconds completing a 400m swim, an 8K cycle ride and a 4K run – an exhausting challenge for most people. Training is every day and Cameron said “I swim 5 times a week, run every day and cycle Saturdays and Sundays. Dad used to run for Kent which is probably when I get my love of sport, especially cycling, from. Cameron has now qualified for the British Modern Biathlon in Solihull on 27th November which will mean a 200m swim followed by a 1 mile run. He hopes to be placed in the top 20 participants so we will watch this space……
