The Show Must Go On—Despite Storm Franklyn’s Attempts To Cancel!

Our Performing Arts students, ranging from Years 10 to 13, were delighted to finally make the trip to Bromley on Wednesday 23rd February to watch ‘Waitress’ at The Churchill Theatre.

Originally organised for Monday 21st February, Storm Franklyn hit the rail lines with vengeance and, with no certainty that we would be able to get home that night, the decision was made to cancel and rebook the trip. Luckily the theatre staff were able to get us all new seats and the trip went ahead. And a big shout out to South Eastern Trains who helped us immensely.

The show was enjoyed by the 44 students and 6 staff and discussions on the way home ranged from how much some people cried, how much we laughed and how wonderful the one child in the production (and it must be said that she was for only five minutes) had stolen the show!

One thing everyone agreed on was how wonderful it was to be able to do the simple things in life, once more, without restrictions.

Our thanks go to Miss Tarrant for planning and organising the trip!
