Staff Bring World Book Day To Life

Staff surprised their students by taking part in World Book Day and dressed up characters from a popular books. The outfits ranged from simple to plain eccentric as in Dr Frankenstein portrayed by Mr Thompson. Ms Karrim dress as the Mad Hatter from the book Alice in Wonderland and felt very connected to his personality. She said “The Mad Hatter is accepting and non-judgemental and I do feel a connection with him”.  

Also taking part were the Three Blind Mice, Robin Hood, Professor McGonagall, The Queen of Hearts along with many more. Headteacher, Mrs Burden, dressed as Mary Poppins. When asked why she chose that character her reply, with a huge smile on her face, was, “Because she is practically perfect in every way”. Staff, of course, agreed.
