Endurance Swimmers Show Their Strength

Once a year Sittingbourne and Milton Swimming Club challenge its members to swim for as long as they can without stopping, except to take regular drinks. For the first time this Distance Night event marked the swimmers having access to the pool for up to 2 and a half hours as opposed to the usual 2 hours. Fulston Manor students did not disappoint!

Liv Year 8 swam for 1 hours 40 minutes, completing 120 lengths (3000m). The swimmers who stayed the full 2 and a half hours were Olivia Year7 - 160 (4000m), Bobbi Year10 - 218 (5450m), Samuel Year 7 - 230 length (5750) Lily Year 7 - 240 lengths (6000). Of the Fulston students, Lewis Year 7 swam the most with 250 lengths (6250m) in the full time allocated. Well done to all the swimmers and we wish them well in the forthcoming Kent Secondary School Competition on January 14th 2017,
