Toby Treads The Boards In Style

Year 12 student Toby has spent the summer holidays treading the boards in Leicester.

Year 12 student Toby has spent the summer holidays treading the boards in Leicester. Taking on the lead role in the production of Spring Awakening, Toby received an incredible write up from local ‘blogger’ Emma-Hope Newitt who wrote ‘I couldn't compliment the strengths of all of the cast involved but was particularly pulled towards the rawness and emotional performance given by the character Moritz Stiefel, played by a very strong individual Toby Turpin. I'm really excited to see where this young man heads as he was just stunning in portraying a character which became defeated by all that restricted his future. His suicide scene was so emotional and powerful that I felt every ounce of pain he was experiencing’. Mrs Palmer, Events and Publicity Manager at Fulston said ‘I cannot promote all that Toby does too much. He has an exciting times ahead of him, with a new agent, and is rehearsing for Godspell together with Rent where he will take the lead role of Mark. In October he will be part of the NYMT 40th anniversary celebrations, ‘Encore’ at the Adelphi Theatre in London, with Matt Lucas and various other stars. We are so proud of Toby and can’t praise Toby’s talent enough!.
