On Saturday 18^th February Hales student Samuel swam at the Medway Competition (pathway to swimming for Kent Schools) and achieved a fantastic time in his 100m Individual Medley. Covering all the major strokes -  breast, butterfly, freestyle and back stroke the Year 8 student narrowly missed out on the silver medal, even shaving off a full 4 seconds from his personal best. Sam swims and trains with the Beachfield club based on the Isle of Sheppey and spends 7 ½ hours a week in the water honing his skills. Sam said “The competition was great fun but I am so very tired now”.
