Ethan Steps Up To Command Squad

Following on from Ethan’s recent success in obtaining a place to visit TS Royalist, the Year 9 Sea Cadet took part in a Rifle Drill Competition. Ethan’s role of Guard Commander saw him shouting orders to his colour party, learning 3 chapters of orders and the movements associated with those. Ethan said “ I was really nervous but confident I could do the job well. I had to teach my group all of the moves. We didn’t win but it’s the experience that matters. Because I did so well I have been asked to be Parade Commander (in charge) when we have our annual inspection by the Navy. Everyone in my squad did very well and I am thankful that I got this chance. My family were very proud”.
