Salary: FMAT Band D Point 2, £29,492.00 p.a. (actual pro rata salary £25,311.63 p.a. for 37 hours)
Hours: 37 hours per week | Monday – Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm | Friday: 8.00am – 4.00pm | 1-hour unpaid lunch break each day | Term Time plus 2 training days
Contract Status: Permanent
Contract Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Welfare Officer to join the Fulston family. This is a rewarding opportunity to become a highly visible and approachable presence within our school community, supporting students in making positive choices in line with our expectations. The successful candidate will support the safeguarding, pastoral care, and behaviour management structures within the school, ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally.
Applicants will need to have a passion for working with young people and want to help all students reach their full potential. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a positive approach to working effectively with all members of the school community.
The successful candidate will:
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at Grade 5 or above
- Experience working in a school setting or with young people aged 11–19
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ideally have experience with Google Classroom and Management Information Systems such as Arbor and ClassCharts
