Paper 1A - The study of religions 13th May PM 1hr 45 mins

The four sections of questions to be answered are on:

  • Christian  - Beliefs
  • Christian  -  Practices
  • Islam -  Beliefs
  • Islam – Practices

There will be a final revision session from 8am in the Religious Studies Department.

Paper 2A - Thematic Studies Monday 20th May AM 1hr 45 mins

The four sections of questions to be answered are on:

  • Theme B: Religion and life
  • Theme D: Religion, peace and conflict
  • Theme E: Religion, crime and punishment
  • Theme F: Religion, human rights and social justice

Do not answer Themes A and C

There will be a final revision session over the lunch break in the Religious Studies Department.

Use your revision guides provided to you in class to revise. You can also purchase the book AQA GCSE Religious Studies A (9-1) Christianity and Islam Revision Guides (Fleming/Smith /Power). Further information is also available by logging on to the School’s Shared Documents and search for Curriculum Subjects/Religious Studies/Student GCSE where you will find past papers, the revision guides, key words and other useful information. It is very important to learn and use the case studies, religious ideas and quotations which you have been taught to gain the maximum marks in the examinations.
